St. John, USVI – August 18, 2026 – Island Green Living has announced an extraordinary ST. JOHN GETAWAY Raffle, worth $15,000, available through September 30, 2026. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the EARTH MONTH Raffle in April, Island Green Living’s partners have put together another incredible travel package to further support the non-profit. It gives entrants an opportunity to “catch the next tide” of winnings while funding recycling that keeps our beaches and ocean free of toxic plastic, greening education, food security and other sustainability initiatives. The ST. JOHN GETAWAY Raffle offers accommodations for up to 10 guests to enjoy the elegant five-bedroom beachfront Beach Villa by Artistic Villas, a tropical retreat that features a private pool, garden and direct beach access, as well as a Jeep rental, both donated by board member Donald Schnell and his wife, Deborah. There is also a $2,000 airline voucher, compliments of the USVI Department of Tourism, boating, dining and more.

Golden Ticket entrants will also be entered for a BONUS chance at a one week stay at Gallows Point Resort, one of St. John’s premier waterfront destinations. Donated by the Dobrowolski Family, it includes accommodations in a one-bedroom Harbourside Villa, valued at $5,250. With just 50 Golden Tickets available, it offers excellent odds while supporting Island Green’s initiatives in a significant way.

Wickrema continued “Six months after being awarded a $20 million EPA grant that would have changed the landscape of preserving the US Virgin Islands, our grant was rescinded. Though promised and legislator approved, our funding in 2024 was only partially delivered and nothing was allocated in 2025. Despite all this, Island Green continues its dedicated work and we thank you for your support while offering a chance to experience the US Virgin Islands.”

The winners will be randomly drawn and announced via Facebook in mid-October and the winners will be notified by email.

Island Green is the recipient of nonprofit ratings agency Candid’s Platinum ranking. All raffle proceeds go toward Island Green’s programming including the island’s only ocean-bound plastics and aluminum recycling as well as community education and other sustainability initiatives. So far, Island Green has collected nearly 170,000+ pounds of ocean-bound plastics since its inception in February 2022 and more than 5.2 million aluminum cans. The Resource Depot, St. John’s only reuse store, has saved more than 1,000,000 lbs. of pre-owned building materials, furnishings, clothing etc. from the landfill.

The Fine Print: The “St. John Getaway” package is valid from September – December 13, 2026 and May – December 13, 2027 and subject to space availability and certain blackout periods (weeks of Carnival & Thanksgiving). No Sunday arrivals. A form will be provided for requested available dates. Once returned, signed & the confirmation email is sent, there are no changes.

All prize components are subject to space availability; winners are responsible for confirming reservations. Some businesses/restaurants may be closed during hurricane season and other periods; it is the winner’s responsibility to verify hours of operations for gift certificate redemption. The winner must adhere to the individual property/business rules and restrictions including the provision of a credit card number for holds/damage deposits, etc. In the event that a property/business closes or becomes uninhabitable due to a storm, fire, or Act of God, the winner agrees to forfeit the prize. We strongly encourage the winner purchase travel insurance. None of the prizes are transferable without the business owner’s consent and are not redeemable for cash. As required by the IRS, a 1099 will be issued for the value of the prize package.

Kekoa: Sails are subject to availability and credit cannot be used during holiday periods. The dollar amount awarded can only be applied to the cost of the sail and cannot be used toward crew gratuity or Kekoa merchandise. Kekoa is dry-docked for the peak of hurricane season and will not be available August 15 – Oct 31.

Car Rental: Renter must provide proof of insurance and a visa/mc/discover on the rental contract. No CDW/LDW is available. Drivers must be 25 years or older. The winner must comply with all terms and conditions. Tax is not included. No cash back for any unused portion of the rental.
